A little bit drizzling situation

When I overlook Empire State Building, I have a special memory into it.

I read a book a long time ago about a little girl trying to help her daddy to get a job.

The background of this story is Empire State Building.

It must be around 1940 or 1950 according to the story.

Her father is a Trombone musician.

Her father gets job with his little girl's help.

This little girl had to up and down the steps many many times.

Maybe this painting is not showing the story itself,

But I want to connect this lovely story to my painting.

Rainy Day 2-Midtown Rain

someone told me my "Rainy Day" as "Childish Dream" like...

and some other people asked me if I have intention to create another version of that.

After debating myself, I decided to create "Rainy Day 2"

but...I am not interested in making same painting over and over...

at least, i started with different landscape which ended up in Midtown, Manhattan.

by the time, when I was in that location, the weather was very cloudy and drizzling condition..

it was perfect mood for that kind of atmosphere,

and I made my mindset to create something brand new and exciting "Rainy Day 2"

I must admit I struggled a little bit to get right painting

I was very much satisfied by the time when I thought I finished this painting,

but, by the time when I listed this painting in Saatchi Art section,

I found some flaw...the painting looked like slightly unfinished and i realized that

I was looking for more strength.

I canceled that listing and worked a lot more to get some satisfaction.

and I am already thinking about "Rainy Day 3"

because, I don't want to make same painting over and over again.
