This paintings's subject could be "After the Rain" also, because there is still plenty of water in the ground, but you can see more clear view
of the streets with restaurant in front filled with plenty of fascinating yellow lights on this Saturday night. It's late Saturday, I am sure
there is plenty of people inside this restaurant who really want to enjoy this pleasant Saturday. Restaurant is a very unique place for everybody, because for the artist point of view, we see this place as a place that has conversation, family get together, satisfaction, and a place of happiness.. People work hard until this moment brings them happiness, therefore, a restaurant is a place of hope for everybody.
What I am doing here is that I try to create a painting that brings us hope and remind us that our daily life is very valuable and need to be
recorded in my way, I may use more bold lines and loose technique, but still I am confident that I can create something desirable and unique. If you observe my paintings for a while, you can see that I am looking for subtle lights, these cozy lights are my hope for the future.

Today, I want to talk about my technical struggle a little bit. First of all, I usually think rainy day has certain mood, the mood is so impressive that it gives me inspiration from time to time, but I was afraid a little, I never tried that before until recently ..
Now, I decided to start with light and warm purple colors for the under painting, I do enjoy a lot of under painting effect, it's quite
effective for my character, but...by the time I was applying main colors, I knew something was not working, so I stopped working
and waited about a week..Now, I erased all the colors with bold brush with green colors and then I waited another 3 days, and
I started to apply all the details and texture.
I usally like to use the Alla Prima and Impasto not because of the technique itself, but it perfectly suits my style, because I found out
I was using that already before even I knew the name, as a matter of fact I was using both technique for last 7 years at least.
But, at this time I was totally confused technically...fortunately, my mental strength lead me to the right place and I was able to finish
this painting. I am happy now how this painting turns out, and I feel it's neccessary procedure for future development.

Now, I am out of color issues and thinking about how to express a loneliness with this landscape. The cloud was unusually shaped and that gives me a little strange feeling, but I think that helps me the reason why I paint this particular scene. This cloud tell me somthing like mysterious aspects of our life, such as unfulfilled dreams, endless despair, a place seems like heaven but never able to approach....
This lonely car represent our human being, it seems like we can achieve something that we never thought we could, but can we ?
what is exactly the measure of success ? Is it really on our mind or something more physical ? Where are we really going after this ?
I think we have thousands of psychological questions in our life, I have no answer on this, but I think when this car arrives home,
people surrounding you gives you sort of answer...that is "Love" ....

It's 5 pm in New York City, almost sundown, I thought the bright yellow sunlight touching part of the building is quite impressive, people here seem to enjoy Saturday afternoon. First, this lady in front was walking her dog back and forth, I was about to ask for a photo shoot for painting purpose, but never mind, she doesn't seem to be interested in being part of my painting at all, so here is the problem, I am not technically allowed to take a picture of her or anybody around here, but I know I need to take bunch of photos anyway !
I do hire models from time to time, but my painting is looking for natural scenes most of the time, and here is the fun part, some people seems to be very happy to be asked for photo shot, and others simply say "NO".....
Speaking of "Broadway Morning", I really concentrating Light and shadow effect here, I really love the morning colors and bright sunshine,
colors of sunsine is one the most intriguing reasons why I paint, because depending on where the sun goes, all the colors change and so does our mood. Speaking of mood painting, some artist really enjoying portraying sad mood all the time, what I want to do is that I want to
explore all possibilities of different mood, such as rainy day or stormy day and bright sunshine day like today.
this "Broadway Morning" shows "Happiness" itself, you can compare this painting to " A lady gathering Flower" ?
I forgot the name of the painting but this Pompeii mural gives me a lot of inspiraion.
Mentally, I do love the mood of New York City, or at least I am looking for positive one.
